We respect your privacy.  We are three entities conducting business under a common name “The Boxoffice Company” (now or formerly known as “Webedia Movies Pro”), namely, The Boxoffice Company LLC in the USA (“Webedia USA”) and its affiliates The Boxoffice Company (Glasgow) Limited and Webedia Movies Pro France SAS  (“The Boxoffice Company France”) (collectively “we”, “us”, or “our”).  You will only be dealing with one of our entities, according to your residence.

Agreement Binding on You.  This Privacy Policy creates a binding agreement between you and The Boxoffice Company identified below applicable for your residence.  As a condition of using the website, the Boxoffice Company requires that you read and consent to this privacy policy (this “Policy”) so you will understand the information The Boxoffice Company collects and the manner in which The Boxoffice Company may use such information.  You should not use the website if you do not agree.

Check for Changes.  Please keep in mind that our commitment to meeting the demands of our users may result in changes or additions to this Policy. The Boxoffice Company may modify or supplement this Policy from time to time. Explanation. This Policy describes how The Boxoffice Company collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information in connection with the use of our website (“Website Use”).

The Boxoffice Company may receive different types of Personal Information from you, depending on what you disclose and any information that we might otherwise have. We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Professional Information, including your company name, title, role and other information about your profession.
  • Other Personal Information, including details such as the purpose of your visit, and data or files that you input, upload or store with us, such as inquiries that you submit, and documents and information that you transfer to us.

By contacting us, you authorize us to respond to you and to retain your contact information for purposes of communicating with you, until the later of (i) your instruction to us to terminate such communications or (ii) when we no longer have a legitimate interest in retention.

4. INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM SOURCES OTHER THAN YOU

Information from Third-Party Sources.  We may receive information about you from publicly and commercially available sources and other third parties as permitted by law. We may combine this information with Personal Information or other information that we receive from or about you, where necessary to provide the Services you requested.

Google Analytics; Session Cookies. We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about Website Use (e.g., Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the Website Services, what pages they visit, when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to the Website Services). Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date that WebsiteUse occurs, rather than your name or other identifying information. This may include use of session cookies.  The information collected through the use of Google Analytics is not combined with your Personal Information.   (We may use other service providers for such analytics.) 5. ANONYMOUS AND AGGREGATED INFORMATION

We also collect and/or generate anonymized and aggregated information from your Website Use. We may provide aggregate statistics about users’ activities on the Website, such as traffic patterns, read rates, redemption rates, and related site information for marketing and promotional purposes or to third party vendors. We do not supplement the information we collect from users with information from third parties to make user information personally identifiable.  We use anonymized and aggregated information in various ways, including to measure your interest in and use of portions or features based on Website Use. Anonymized or aggregated information is not Personal Information.

How we use your Personal Information depends on your relationship with us. In general, we use your Personal Information to:

IP Addresses.  We may use internet protocol (“IP”) addresses to analyze trends, administer our websites, track users’ movements and web browsers used and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Tracking.  We may automatically track certain information, including banners or other hyper-links clicked on and whether users read the email messages from us.

Your Permissions.  You will receive emails only if you grant us permission. You must also provide us with your name and email address to allow us to communicate a personalized message to you. You can do this by completing our “Contact Us” form online.

Your Use of Third-Party Websites.  We encourage you to be aware that when you visit third party websites or our other websites that you should investigate, inquire about, and review the privacy policies before you disclose your personal information.  We are not responsible for the privacy policies or content of other websites. This Privacy Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information that we may collect from you in connection with this website. This Privacy Policy does not govern the collection of information from you on any other website in The Boxoffice Company™ network, unless it says so by reference to this document.

Sharing with Subcontractors. We may employ data entry firms or other service vendors to assist us, and such other vendors will also be subject to confidentiality agreements and will not have any right to use or disclose Personal Information except in connection with their contracted services.

Compliance with Law.  We may provide Personal Information to such third parties, government authorities and agencies to:

Sale or Transfer.  Unless otherwise set forth herein, The Boxoffice Company does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others or share it with others. If an unrelated party or an affiliate of ours acquires substantially all of our assets or stock, the business that we conduct on this website, you agree that the purchaser will succeed to our rights with respect to your personal information.  The Boxoffice Company will not otherwise sell or share your personal information with third parties unless we first notify you and you permit the transfer or as described herein.

Compliance.  We will disclose member information as required by law, court order, or as requested by government or law enforcement agencies. We will cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services to further illegal activity. We also reserve the right to report any illegal activity to law enforcement for prosecution.

Your Rights.  In certain circumstances — in particular where we use Personal Information on the basis of our legitimate interests or your consent — and where permitted by applicable law, you have the right to object to our uses of your Personal Information.

7. CHANGING YOUR PERMISSIONS

Processing after Revoking Permission.  The Boxoffice Company may retain in our files information that you have requested us to remove in some circumstances, such as to, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce the terms and conditions of our website. In addition, prior information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical constraints and the fact that The Boxoffice Company backs up our systems. Therefore, you should not expect that all of your personally identifiable information would be completely removed from our databases in response to your requests.

Legitimate Interest.  Any right to require deletion of Personal Information (“right to be forgotten”) is subject to The Boxoffice Company’s rights and legitimate interests under applicable law.  To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Boxoffice Company is authorized to retain in our files information that you have requested us to remove in some circumstances, such as to, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce the terms and conditions of this website. In addition, prior information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical constraints and the fact that The Boxoffice Company backs up our systems. Therefore, you should not expect that all of your Personal Information would be completely removed from our databases in response to your requests, but that, if removal shall be mandated under applicable law, we may encrypt, de-personalize or pseudonymize your Personal Information and, in such form, retain such information indefinitely.

8. SECURITY

We take precaution to protect your information. Our employees are informed of our privacy policies when they are hired.  Additionally, we either provides all employees with a hard copy of the policy or sends the policy to them by email when our Privacy Policy is updated.

All Personal Information that we collect about you is stored on secure servers and designed to be protected against unauthorized access. None of this information is stored on the website. The data network is a secure network protected by a firewall and encrypted password protection systems. Only a few employees have access to Personal Information stored in our databases. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or you are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet café.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be one hundred percent (100%) secure and third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. As a result, while we will strive to protect your personal communications and information, we cannot fully ensure or warrant that your private communications and personal information will not be disclosed to third parties.

Some web browsers may transmit “do-not-track” signals to the websites and other online services with which a user communicates. There is no industry standard that governs what, if anything, websites should do when they receive these signals. We currently do not take action in response to these signals. If and when a standard is established and accepted, we may revisit our policy on responding to these signals.

In your request, please provide a description of the material that you want removed and information sufficient to permit us to locate the material, including your name, email address, year of birth, mailing address (including city, state, and zip code) and the subject line “California Removal Request.” Please note that your request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the material.

10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

By using our website or providing us with your Personal Information electronically, the User is directly transferring Personal Information and Non-Identifiable Information to us in the United States. The User’s Personal Information also may be transferred and processed in other countries where our staff or third-party service providers are located.
